Concerts at the Palais Eschenbach
Vienna Supreme Orchestra

Built according to plans of architect Otto Thienemann in the style of Palladian Classicism, the Palais Eschenbach was opened in 1872 by Emperor Franz Joseph I. The entire house is still preserved inside and outside in its original substance. The ballroom is the ceremonial room of the building due to its valuable wall and ceiling features.

How to get to the Palais Eschenbach

By public transport

The Palais Eschenbach is in walking distance to station Museumsquartier of subway-line U2 and to the station Karlsplatz of subway lines U1 and U4.

By car

As with most concert venues in Vienna's first district (Innere Stadt), we recommend not going there by car. Vienna's historic centre has numerous narrow and one-way streets, and parking spaces can be difficult to find.

Please note that Vienna has a city-wide paid short-term parking zone (Kurzparkzone), generally in effect Monday to Friday (working days) from 9:00 to 22:00, with a maximum parking time of two hours. A valid parking ticket (Parkschein) is required when parking on the street during these hours. Parking tickets can be purchased at tobacconists and other sales points or electronically using Vienna's HANDYPARKEN service on your mobile phone.
For concert visitors arriving by car, a parking garage is usually the more convenient option.

By taxi
